HOW TO : UN-STUCK YOURSELF FROM UNCERTAINTY

A frequent startup mantra is “We try first and see how it goes,”

This is precisely when problems start to arise. Trying something new without putting a measurable and realistic metric on top of it will be held back by nature.

First, I think it’s critical to acknowledge that no two jobs are created equal. Successful completion of a task replenishes your energy level for the rest of the day or week. This can either be a positive or a negative, depending on the work at hand.

No matter what happens, having a conversation with a potential client is always a positive experience for me. As well as removing a challenging topic from the discussion, The failure to accomplish a task has a significant negative impact.

Staying in the net plus zone for the first six to ten hours of the day is critical to my productivity, as is not caring about what happens the remainder of the day.

Here are a few things that work well

  • Aim to do tasks that provide immediate gratification in increments of no more than 30 minutes.
  • Rather than having a long conversation with your coworkers or colleagues, try to have a series of shorter ones, focusing on one issue at a time. A productive workplace cannot afford to be plagued by interminable meetings.
  • Your tasks should be rearranged daily. I keep a to-do list on a piece of paper that I toss away, ranking the tasks in order of importance as I cross them off as I complete them.
  • Emotional feedback is significantly more pronounced when done on paper rather than online.
  • To get your mind off things, go for a jog. Running is something I don’t enjoy, but it does the job.
  • Make use of Lean Startup techniques. Instant gratification, for example, has a significant impact on productivity because of continual deployment.
  • Consider using a stand-up workstation. Yes, I am serious when I say this has a significant impact on productivity.

Now, if you find yourself in a bind, the following options are available to you:

  • Go on a date / watch a movie / have some fun for the rest of the day ( take a day off). It will not bring your startup into a stall.
  • Speak with someone who is constantly upbeat in your life.
  • Force yourself to do the most critical but shortest task on your list.
  • Make the most of the time you have to clean up your job. Having too many options might lead to being unable to make a decision.
  • Do not get distracted by unrelated things.
  • When you succeed, think about all the good things that will happen to you. This is an effective method.
  • Visit the website of a rival if that suits your personality type. Because this can go both ways, extreme caution is advised. There are instances when it is beneficial to focus on the product rather than the competitors.
